GIVING TUESDAY, A GLOBAL DAY OF GIVING
On Tuesday, 2nd December 2025, charities nationwide will come together to thank their Trustees, share inspiring stories, and encourage more people to consider volunteering at board level. Trustees play a vital role in providing strategic guidance and governance, ensuring charities can deliver essential services to communities across Ireland.
With over 76,000 Trustees serving 11,500 registered charities, these volunteers form the backbone of a sector worth €32 billion annually, employing one in eight workers.
Charities across Ireland will mark the day by sharing Trustee stories, posting thank-you messages, hosting events, and publishing videos to highlight the incredible contribution of volunteer leaders.
